Arrive at Luxor International Airport or Luxor Train Station, where our representative will welcome you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. Upon arrival, check in and take some time to relax after your journey.
Depending on your arrival time, begin exploring Luxor’s East Bank, home to two of ancient Egypt’s most remarkable temple complexes.
Your first visit is Karnak Temple, an immense religious complex dedicated primarily to the god Amun-Ra. Explore its monumental gateways, sacred lake, obelisks, and the famous Great Hypostyle Hall, featuring 134 massive columns decorated with intricate hieroglyphic inscriptions and reliefs.
Continue to Luxor Temple, located in the heart of the modern city. Built largely during the reigns of Amenhotep III and Ramesses II, the temple was closely associated with the annual Opet Festival. It was once connected to Karnak Temple by the Avenue of Sphinxes, a processional road stretching approximately 2.7 kilometers.
After the visits, return to your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Today is the highlight of your journey: witnessing the spectacular total solar eclipse over Luxor, one of the best locations in Egypt to experience this rare astronomical event.
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the designated eclipse-viewing location, where you will have time to settle in and prepare for the different phases of the eclipse. Your guide will explain the viewing schedule and provide assistance throughout the experience.
On Monday, 2 August 2027, the eclipse will begin in Luxor at approximately 11:40 AM local time. The Moon will gradually move across the Sun until totality begins at around 1:02 PM.
During totality, the Moon will completely cover the Sun for approximately 6 minutes and 22 seconds, with maximum eclipse occurring at approximately 1:05 PM. The surrounding landscape will briefly darken, temperatures may drop, and the Sun’s outer atmosphere, known as the corona, will become visible.
The partial eclipse will continue until approximately 2:26 PM, completing an event lasting around 2 hours and 46 minutes.

Important: Certified solar viewing glasses meeting ISO 12312-2 standards must be used throughout all partial phases. Direct viewing without eye protection is safe only during the brief period of complete totality.

Start your morning before sunrise with an optional hot air balloon experience, available for guests who have booked this activity in advance.
After an early transfer to the West Bank launch area, board your balloon and rise above the Nile Valley as the first sunlight illuminates Luxor’s ancient landscape. Enjoy panoramic views of the Valley of the Kings, surrounding desert mountains, green agricultural fields, and the monumental temples scattered across the West Bank.
The balloon flight is weather-dependent and subject to the operator’s safety approval. Flight confirmation and departure arrangements will be provided in advance.
After returning to the ground and having breakfast, continue exploring the West Bank, beginning with the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of many New Kingdom pharaohs. Enter selected open tombs and discover beautifully decorated chambers featuring religious texts, symbolic scenes, and colorful depictions of the ancient Egyptian afterlife. The tomb of Tutankhamun is among the site’s most famous discoveries, although entry to individual tombs may require an additional ticket.
Next, visit the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous seated statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Standing at the entrance to what was once his vast mortuary temple, these statues have remained among the most recognizable monuments on Luxor’s West Bank.
Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, an extraordinary mortuary temple built into the limestone cliffs. Its three impressive terraces, colonnaded galleries, and decorated reliefs tell the story of Queen Hatshepsut’s reign, including her famous expedition to the Land of Punt.
Conclude your sightseeing with a visit to a local alabaster workshop, where you can observe traditional stone-carving techniques and learn how local artisans transform natural alabaster into decorative vessels and handcrafted souvenirs.
After the tour, return to your hotel and enjoy your final evening in Luxor.
