Your journey begins the moment you land in Egypt. After passport control, you’ll be warmly met by our representative, who will meet and assist you through the airport—no guessing, no rushing, just a smooth welcome. Outside, your private air-conditioned vehicle is ready to transfer you into Cairo. Once you arrive at your hotel, you’ll check in and settle into your room, letting the city’s rhythm replace the pace of travel. Later, you’ll meet your Egyptologist—your storyteller for the days ahead—who will walk you through what’s coming, answer questions, and help you feel fully prepared for the adventure ahead.
Overnight: Cairo Hotel
After breakfast, you check out and set off for one of the world’s most unforgettable landscapes: the Giza Pyramids Complex. Standing at the edge of the plateau, you’ll feel time stretch as the desert wind moves across stone that has watched thousands of years pass. You’ll explore the legendary Great Pyramid, then continue toward the eternal gaze of the Great Sphinx, where myth and history seem to overlap. At the Valley Temple, your Egyptologist connects the rituals of the ancient world to the monuments around you—quiet details that make the sites feel alive, not distant.
Later, you’ll pause for lunch at a local restaurant, enjoying Egyptian flavors in a relaxed setting before visiting a Papyrus Institute, where you’ll see how traditional papyrus is made and why it mattered so much in ancient life. In the evening, you head to the station and board your overnight train to Luxor—drifting south as the scenery and city lights slowly fade into the night.
Overnight: Overnight Train to Luxor
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch (Local Restaurant)
You arrive at Luxor Train Station and step into the brighter light of Upper Egypt. Your day begins on Luxor’s powerful West Bank, starting with the Valley of the Kings, where royal tombs tucked into the mountains still glow with color and symbolism. Next, you stand before the Colossi of Memnon—two silent giants watching over the plain—before continuing to the graceful terraces of Hatshepsut Temple, a masterpiece built against the cliffs as if it belongs there.
You’ll visit an Alabaster institute, where artisans transform stone into glowing pieces that catch the sun like honey. Then comes a moment many travelers dream about: embarkation on your Dahabiya. You check in, settle into your cabin, and feel the pace instantly change—slower, calmer, more intimate. Later, you visit Luxor Temple, where warm stone and ancient columns feel especially alive at the end of the day. You return onboard for a peaceful night on the West Bank, with the Nile close by and the sense that a timeless journey has truly begun.
Overnight: Dahabiya Cruise (Overnight on the West Bank)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Before sunrise, you can choose an optional Hot Air Balloon Excursion—floating quietly above fields, villages, and temples as Luxor wakes below. Later, you visit Karnak Temple, a monumental complex so vast it feels like a stone city built for the gods. Your Egyptologist guides you through towering columns and grand gateways, revealing how the site grew over centuries.
In the afternoon, the Dahabiya begins sailing (PM) toward Esna. The river sets the rhythm now—gentle breezes, palm-lined banks, and the calm pleasure of watching Egypt unfold from the deck.
Overnight: Dahabiya Cruise
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
This morning, you sail toward Esna Lock, watching the Nile’s daily life pass by—fishermen, small boats, and quiet villages along the banks. You continue toward Al Ramady Island, where the river feels wide and open and the Dahabiya’s pace becomes your own.
As evening arrives, the experience turns truly exclusive: a private island dinner under the sky, paired with an Egyptian Rababa show—traditional music that feels perfectly suited to the Nile at night. Later, you sail onward and arrive in Aswan overnight, with the south’s calmer atmosphere welcoming you from the water.
Overnight: Dahabiya Cruise
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
The day begins with sailing to Gebel El Silsila, where dramatic sandstone cliffs frame the river and the scenery feels almost theatrical. You then visit Kom Ombo Temple, beautifully positioned by the Nile—an atmospheric stop that feels even more striking when approached by water.
Next, you sail to El Sheikh Fadl Island and enjoy a refreshing highlight: swimming at Hor Diab Island, where clear water and open sky make the day feel light and joyful. Later, you visit Philae Temple, graceful and enchanting in its waterside setting. You return onboard for a restful night in Aswan, lulled by the calm of the southern Nile.
Overnight: Dahabiya Cruise (Overnight in Aswan)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
For those who want one of Egypt’s most awe-inspiring temple experiences, today offers an optional Abu Simbel excursion (duration 10 hours)—a monumental masterpiece carved on a colossal scale, unforgettable in person. Back onboard, you continue sailing to Gebel El Silsila, with the river scenery changing subtly hour by hour.
By day’s end, you arrive back at Esna Lock and the Dahabiya settles in for the night with Luxor within reach—a calm pause before the most important day of the journey.
Overnight: Dahabiya Cruise (Overnight in Luxor)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Today is the reason you’ve traveled across Egypt—the sky-event that turns this journey into a once-in-a-lifetime story. The partial eclipse begins on 2 Aug 2027 at 10:22:09, and the light starts to change in a way you can feel: colors soften, shadows sharpen, and the air turns strangely still.
Full eclipse begins at 11:42:31, with maximum at 11:45:16. Totality lasts 6 minutes, 20 seconds—brief, yet overwhelming in the moment—before full eclipse ends at 11:48:01. The partial eclipse ends at 13:08:04, completing a total event duration of 2 hours, 45 minutes, 55 seconds. Experiencing this phenomenon in Luxor feels surreal and deeply moving, as if the ancient landscape itself is part of the spectacle.
Overnight: Dahabiya Cruise (Overnight in Aswan)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After the intensity and wonder of the eclipse, today is intentionally gentle. You can relax onboard, enjoy the Nile’s calm pace, or take the day as free time to explore Luxor at your own rhythm—no rushing, no strict schedule, just space to enjoy Egypt in a more personal way. It’s the perfect way to let the journey sink in, surrounded by river air and timeless views.
Overnight: Dahabiya Cruise (Overnight in Aswan)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
This morning, you disembark in Luxor and transfer to the airport in a private air-conditioned vehicle. From here, you can take a flight to Cairo International Airport (to be booked yourself, and it must be a connecting flight to avoid any delays), or connect onward to your home country (also to be booked yourself, and recommended as a connecting flight to avoid delays).
You leave Egypt with a rare mix of memories: Cairo’s icons, Luxor’s timeless temples, the romance of a Dahabiya sailing the Nile, and the unforgettable moment the sky changed during the 2027 solar eclipse—an experience you’ll carry long after you’ve returned home.
